My boss just ordered a Dell computer. At my recommendation, he stuck with the integrated sound and video cards because I told him I could upgrade those components for a lot less than they were offering.
The problem is, he ordered a model with a special VERY slim case so there are no PCI or AGP slots - only pci express.
For video, this isn't a problem. But I can't seem to find a pci-e sound card. He wants to hook it up to his home theatre, so the integrated job won't work.
I have found the Audigy NX external sound device (not sure if "card" is appropriate). Any thoughts?
