Hi, I'm using a MSI neo2platium NF3 mobo (the socket 939 one). I want to buy a pci-e video card, but my friend said NF3 has conflict with pci-e card. Is it really true? I was thinking why the board has a pci-e slot in the first place.
According to the MSI website and the nvida documentation Nforce3 chipsets do not support pci-e. You could get a nice 6800nu agp and unlock and overclock if you are looking for a good video card. I have a dfi nf3 mb and that is the route I took.
how does your mobo have pci-e? its not a conflict, its MUCH MORE THAN A CONFLICT. THE CARD WONT PHYSICALLY FIT INTO THE MOBO!!!! dont buy a pci-e card!!!! what made you think it as agp and pci-e?
