I am looking for a PCI-E graphics card with the lowest possible power consumption.
Any recommendations anyone? (it should be passively cooled BTW, no fans )

Does anyone know anything specific about the power consumption (as well as performance) of the following cards:

* XFX GeForce 6500 TurboCache
* Hightech Excalibur Radeon X300 SE 128MB

The background for the low power consumption requirement is that I want to reuse as many as possible of my old components when upgrading my AMD Athlon XP 2200+ system to a AMD Socket 939 X2 3800+ system, including my old 350 W PSU.

Is it BTW feasible to reuse a 350W PSU (included with a Chieftec Dragon miditower case ) for the following new target system?:

AMD X2 3800+
EPox EP-9NPA+ Ultra
2 * CoolerMaster 80mm case fans
1 * Promise TX2-100 ATA controller card
3 IDE harddrives
1 DVDRW drive
Hauppauge WinTV PVR-350 tv-tuner card

+ some new PCI-E graphics card

Ideally, I was on the lookout for a Socket-939 ATX-size motherboard with integrated graphics, but that does not seem to exist?

I have also been considering one of the Socket939 Nvidia Geforce 6150 mATX boards, escpecially the MSI K8NGM2-FID. Unfortunately, NONE of these mATX boards are available here in Norway any longer. They all disappeared from the webshops quite recently, and I have tried to order for instance the MSI-board, but have been told that it's no longer available from the manufacturer :(

NVidia Geforce 6100 mATX boards are still available, but these do not meet my other requirements ( no Gigabit Ethernet, and only 2 SATA ports )

A word of advice: Don't skimp on your PSU. Otherwise you will probably regret it later (wierd instability problems).

Ok, i can't help with all your questions but i'll do what i can.

PSU: Yes, you could if you find a cable to convert molex to 4 pin (the old PSU won't have the right connector). This could be DIY'd by you if you're feeling at all brave. If not i suspect you'd be able to find one for sale somewhere.
However PSUs degrade with age, i don't know what PSU the case came with but it's rare for them to be top end models, as such the odds of it dying (possibly catestropically) are worth considering.

If you're thinking about mATX then maybe one of these? http://www.komplett.co.uk/k/ki.asp?sku=315294
