PCI-E Gigabit Nic

Has anyone tried one of these yet? I do notice on my DFI, both my NICs, whether they are the Marvell or Nvidia are terrible NICs. I get nothing but problems with the Nvidia one and im constantly going back and fourth with drivers on the Marvell one. I cant pick up a pretty decent PCI NIC for about $24 that supports jumbo frames. I was wondering, if anyone has tried a PCI-express Giga Nic.. Dlink has one for $80 which is quite expensive but id imagine the thouroughput is great than with the PCI card?

Venomous, the D-Link PCI-E board appears to be based on a Marvell Yukon chip. This chip was not the highest performing PCI chip, and it's unlikely that their first try at a PCI-E bus interface is going to fix that.

There's a Broadcom PCI-E board that is probably reasonable, I'd suggest looking into that. CDW price is $65.

The Intel Pro/1000MT PCI is about $35 online and a good choice too.

I haven't seen any good PCI gigabit NICs in the $24 price range.
