PCI-e + AGP8x mobo

If it isn't done with one of the few chipsets that can do ACTUAL, electrically proper AGP, not some pseudo-AGP that is actually PCI on the wrong slot type, then yes.

There is one VIA chipset for P4 platform that does it halfway right, with proper 8x AGP but only with a 4x link on PCIE. Then there's one ULi chipset for AMD64, the ONLY one that has full PCIE 16x _and_ proper 8x AGP.

Thus, if the board has an Intel, SiS or NVidia chipset, run.
