These little things are QUITE speedy. I'm not sorry I dropped $100 a piece on two of them, for my two Z170 rigs.
Yes, they're only the 128GB size, but it's enough for Win7 64-bit. The 256GB and 512GB sizes of the 950 Pro NVMe models are somewhat faster, but I bought these specifically because they were AHCI, and I figured I would have an easier time installing Win7 onto them. (No problems at all, installed in UEFI mode!)
Anyways, my benchmark of choice, is Malwarebytes. That program (scanner) is the reason I bought some SSDs initially, and now, I use it to justify my purchase.
On a freshly-installed Win7, with a few other programs and downloaded ISOs, Malwarebytes scanned everything in 1:16. That's barely more than ONE minute, to scan. Crazy-fast.
In comparison, my other rigs scanned between 2-3 minutes on Skylake with a SATA SSD.
