Just tryin to make some upgrade plans .... so I remember something about PCI Express 2.0
When is this supposed or thought to be implemented on motherboards???

Please explain to the confused---does this have something to do with vista that will support direct X10 graphics?---so it will have to be used with vista as an on motherboard graphics support--or by adding a newer graphics card that supports direct X10.

Or is this something else?

It's just like AGP 4x to 8x. More voltage, more bandwith(?), cooler name (PCI-SIG)

PCI-Express 2.0 is a new revision of the PCI-Express standard. It increases the amount of bandwidth per lane. It is fully interoperable with PCI-Express 1.0 equipment.

I don't know offhand when it's supposed to be on the market, but I would expect not long from now.

PCI-SIG (PCI Special Interest Group) is the organization that creates PCI standards.
