pci bus, scsi, audio, cubx

My friend has a new asus cubx board with PIII 700, 256 ram, adaptec 2496, waveterminal 2496

he has downloaded the pci bus mastering patch, and still has the yellow "i" in the device manager???

also, if we try to record in cubase, the waveterminal just gives as very noisy audio (asio2 drivers)

we've spent over 100 hours on this, and still cant solve it
