PCI bus not locked at 33.33MHz - bad news?

Hello,

A8N-SLI deluxe problem: it is ignoring the PCI Bus setting in the BIOS where I set it to 33.33 MHz. (not AUTO, or With CPU)

When I use systool or Clockgen to check it, it is not locked at all, but scaling with the FSB. What am I missing?

I have reset the BIOS to defaults, to auto and back to manual several times, but no dice.

I have one IDE hard drive in there, and AFAIK it is bad news to overclock the PCI bus at all. I have two SATA HDDs as well, are they affected? (noob questions!)

I don't know whether this broke when I upgraded to bios 1013 a week ago, and I just didnt notice it, but previously when you set it at 33.33 it always read as 33.34 in software, no matter what you did to the FSB.

Am I worrying about nothing running it at 39.73 MHz, or asking for trouble?

Set HTT to 201 in BIOS, that should lock it.

Hmmm, sometimes things don't translate on the net, I was quoting something obscure and a bit Monty Pythonish.

But it was sincere - his solution was perfect, it was that simple a fix, and I would never have found it myself in a million years. Nuff said.
