PCI and PCI Express

I'm upgrading my system after my PCI slot died

If I get a mobo with PCI Express (either 1x or 16x), will the normal PCI cards work in them?

The 2 cards specifically are a K-World TV Tuner and a Turtle Beach Catalina sound card

no

those will still require reg pci slots

Most if not all motherboards now-a-days have atleast 2 PCI slots(beyond the special SLI MicroATX mobos or something). You should be fine with nearly any regular ATX board that uses your socket.
