PCI/AGP bus overclock

On a Asus P4B266 the PCI/AGP bus is at factory spec at 100 and 133. Does the bus speed ever reache that perfect 33/66MHz at some other overclocked speed??? Are there any utilities to measure the speed?? SoftSandra doesn't give a value for the Asus. R

The only thing that I know of that can tell you the pci/agp clock is an oscilloscope (or however you spell it).

Some people will tell you that using turbo1 will make your agp/pci clock very close to spec, but these people are all going by what 1 person posted on Hardforum.com. The name of the person is "ase" that started the rumor that turbo1 locks the clocks, this person has 8 posts total, so I am very sceptical.

Probably at 166, Sisoft Sandra does give this information on the "motherboard info" tab. Maybe you should download a newer version...

The turbo1 is indeed keeping the PCI/AGP close (not perfect) to specs. There are many sites with reviews of the P4B266 and the functionality of the turbo1 feature.

There are also other info progs. that can give you the PCI/AGP speeds, like Norton Utilities or many video card utilities. You could go to any downloads site and look for one.

Could you provide us a link to one of these many sites?

I'll provide some links. First link is a forum post where a few websites have reviewed the P4B266 and quoted as having no clue as to what Turbo1 does:

Overclocker Forum

Secondly, here is a link to the original forum post where "ase" supposedly tested the pci/agp clock:

Ase's post is towards the end of the thread.

FreshBrain--I have the latest version. Here is the thing, at 100MHz bus SoftSandra gives the bus speed etc, at any other speeds there is no information. Strange.
