PCI 56k modems

hello all..

i'm just wondering how many have experience with PCI 56k modems on their linux box ?
1) what did you use to dial ( Gnome ppp, wvdial, etc )
2) what additional program/driver did you have to use
3) what device name ( ttys0, etc )

thanks for all your help 🙂

although there are a few that will work , depending on the chipset. Your life will be much easier with an external serial port modem for linux dialup.

There are a few lists out there for what chips work with what drivers (if any). The one I linked to hasn't been updated in a long tiime, but it still might provide useful information.
