Intel is reponsible for this new creation, which supposedly is capable of 6.6gigabytes per second...will it be a fluke like AGP? There's a story on it at ZDNET and you can also find discussion on it at Slashdot.org

I just hope I posted before NFS4.

Intel's 3GIO is going to suceed PCI-X.
PCI-X should replace current PCI as planned.

Nevermind...that article said Q2/02 for PCI 3.0...how odd.
I though that PCI-X was 2002, and 3GIO was 2003....guess not.

Alright, I wouldn't go out and say AGP is a fluke, but it was definetly "overhyped".
