Anyone know if there's a proggie that will tell me if PCI slots are 2.1 compliant ? or if other than 2.1 ? System info and Norton don't tell me....er, at least I can't tell from looking at all the gibberish that shows on the screen !

Older mobo, can't tell from looking at chips in open case and don't want to remove all the stuff to take out mobo...

Curious if there's a way to do it...already went to Intel's website and wasted a lot of time...

Thanks !

:D

If anything, it should say in the manual or the product description or so on the manufacturer's www-pages.

Why do you worry about it?

Chased this question a while back when I found a great price on an Adaptec 29160 scsi controller. It is a 64bit card that will not physically fit the older pci slot revision. You can tell by looking closely at the slot. If the end wall of the slot itself is about 1/8" you're good to go. Basically the ends need to be narrow enough to accept a circuit card with a notched edge. The 29160 has such a notch and has more card edge that extends beyond the slot. Sandra works for me too.
