PCChips M805lr....266FSB?

So they say (they being PCChips) in the manual and on the website , but I cant get my XP1500 CPU to run on it. No post,no nothing. Looked around for a Bios solution like I've seen for other boards but I cant find anything. I think I'm out of luck. Hey, I know it's an older board but you can't blame a guy for trying to wring out every last drop? Anyone know something I don't?

What chipset is that board?...I could not locate on their site. I know the M810 (SiS 730) Supports the XP but I am not sure about that board.

It's a shame you can't find a bios flash, that's always adviseable when trying to get an older board to run a newer processor. Is there anything in the bios that mentions 133mhz FSB?

Well generally most KT133A chipsets support most Athlon XP's.....just not the 2200+ I think, maybe it's a bit lower but they should easily support a 1500+.

I wonder if it's possible to use some kind of generic bios update for that board at all?. Odd that the manual says "Unlimited"....never seen that before. The board looks identical to the M810.

Hold on a seck....it says KT133 chipset there....if that's so then it won't support the XP1500+ at all because it needs a stable 133mhz board and the KT133 cannot provide that. So looks like it's new motherboard time, the Biostar M7VKQBiostar M7VKQ might be an option, it's of a similar spec and supports XP's.
