I have an old Pentium 3 motherboard that I'd like to get up and running as starter system for my 5 year old daughter. This motherboard requires 184Pin RDRAM RAM. It requires a Matched Pair of memory.
I already have 1 stick of 128mb Samsung PC700 / 8 ECC ram.
My question is can I add another memory stick, that fits the same specifications from another manufacturer? (128MB PC700 / 8 ECC). Or do the matching sticks need to be *the exact same everything including brand in order to work?
(I don't want to spend money on 2 sticks of memory, just to have one that collects dust).
Thanks.
