Hey guys,
I dont know if you noticed but i think this is worth to look at...512 mb of patriot xbl pc4800 tccd for 85 bucks? thats $170 for a gig of this stuff. I ordered a stick last night to see if its gonna work with my evga mobo. its rated 2-2-2-5 for pc3200 and 2.5-4-4-8 for pc4800. looks like i got the last stick because they jus got on auto notify. well i hope this deal is good to you.

is this stuff really worth it? you can get DDR2 4200 at circuit city for $35 for 512 or microcenter for $22 for 512 (both after MIR). Why would someone spend 2.5-3.5 times more for memory that would at best give them a 3-5% boost in performance? can someone enlighten me a little please.

This stuff use to be only $150 a month or so ago. But now everyone knows that ALL Patriot XBLK is TCCD, its gone up.🙂

The Geil One TCCD is about $80, much better deal from better vendor.

but the geil i think comes in 2x256 sticks so u cant have 2 gigs of that stuff....

I've got 1gb (2x512) XBL TCCD from Patriot and it's awesome! Patriot is a little known company that doesn't have much publicity, but they are good. I've gone 275FSB 3-4-4-8 with these running 1T 1:1. Couldn't go higher since I reached my CPU's limit.

well i got the ram today but i just installed windows. ill post the ocing results later. omg it feels so good to finally have a normal pc. 🙂

EDIT: well so far im doing 2.4 with all stock settings(267 fsb). the only problem that i think is that on evga the max cpu voltage is 1.55 i think. so that limits me too...
well anyway before i go to sleep tonight....ill get it to 2.7 😉
