hey guys need ur help...
i'm planning to get the A7N8X amd motherboard alog with the 2500+ AMD ATHLON XP cpu chip... my question is : should I get two sticks of 512 pc2700 rams or two sticks of pc3200 rams. Is there a big differnce between cheap and expensive ram of the same type? Does the brand really matter?

on newegg there are these two not so famous brand items:

Apacer 512MB DDR PC2700 RAM 32X64 Infineon Chipset CL=2.5 - OEM
65.00

GEIL DDR RAM 512MB PC-3200 Value 400MHz Ultra- CAS 2.5, 2T Command
73.00

for future upgrade you will need the pc3200 for the 400mhz fsb, but for a 2500, the pc27000 will work. for it is a 333fsb

Get the GEIL its a very good ramstick for overclocking🙂

Always get the faster-bigger-nicer anything if you can afford it.

You will never look back and think, "Damm my 36 inch TV is just to much, wish I would have gotton the 32", same as you will never get mad for getting Ram that is faster then you need.

Get the 3200 if you have even a smidgen of an intention to o/c.

The cpu and mobo you're looking at are excellent for that, by all reports.

The price diff should be minor.
