PC2700 ram in a non KT333 board?

What, if any, benefits are there to using PC2700 over PC2100 RIGHT NOW? I have an 8K7A(AMD 760), since my board is not rated for the 166 bus, is PC2700 even of any use to me? Not concerned with future benfits, will I see any benefits right now?

The PC2700 is Samsung, if that makes any difference.

No difference if you ask me. It'll be easier for you to o/c your FSB and memory on a 1:1 ratio as the RAM is rated at 166Mhz/333Mhz.

It'll still be the same as using PC2100 RAM.

No, you won't see any benefits. It will just run at PC2100 speeds if you put it in your system now. If you wanted to, you could just lower your multiplier and up the FSB to 166, then you could use it. But most Crucial will hit 166 if you up the voltage.

There are two advantages, overclockability and not haveing to buy new ram when you do upgrade your motherboard. Most ram (not even curcial) can run at 166 with the most aggressive time settings.
