pc2700 RAM and A64's...good thing?

As the title suggests, I'm just curious if im pretty much hurting myself by using the 1gb of pc2700 RAM I have in my current system for the new A64 system ill be putting together.

Is it a bad idea that I'm doing this or should I have chosen to buy some pc3200?

Is there that much of a performance difference in using pc2700 with an A64 than if i used pc3200?

Thanks

Yah, there's always a difference. Will you notice it? Not at all 😀. The A64's on die RAM controller basically levels the playing field. Run your RAM in 166 and it'll still fly.

good question jimithing2077,

I'm in the same position with a lot of 2700 1.0Gb, and an upgrade planned.

Any other thoughts on this?

I concur. If you wish to OC, however, I'd go with at least pc3500.
