what is the rest of your system?
DDR400 ram is for 200FSB systems, and DDR333 ram is for 166 FSB systems.

with the a64, definitely use pc3200...a64's have an integrated front-side bus, so the only limitation on the speed of your ram is the motherboard...most only go up to 400MHz (pc3200)

look at memory matrix stickied at top of forums. pc 3200 isnt that much faster than pc 2700. what you should really focus on is latencies.

you dont HAVE to get new ram if you dont want to...what latencies can your DDR333 run at right now?
it probably wont be good for overclocking; i strongly recommend getting some new PC3200 ram that can run 2-2-2-6. corsair value or crucial is good cheap stuff.

Hypothetically, what percentage of performance increase will result in using DDR400 ram? Have there been tests done?
