within a few reboots, my bios is corrupted each time i use pc2700. i have some bh5 that i'd love to use, but i can't because its pc2700. the motherboard is an nforc2 ultra infinity (china board) with the most recent bios. i have repeated this three times and am only using half my ram now (pc4400 tccd). as an experiment, i clocked the pc4400 down to 167mhz 1:1 with fsb (i always use 1:1), and blam, corrupt bios.
24/7 speed is 244 fsb, and it works great at that
i've done this with multiple, different dimms, all of which memtest ok in other boards
here's my setup
Nforce 2 Ultra infinity, bios 11/24/04, vdroop mod
45w mobile 2600+ iqyha
coolmax 450w 14cm fan power supply
powercolor 9700pro
1*512mb geil pc4400 ultra, tccd on brainpower, 2.5-4-4-7
2*256mb geil pc2700 ultra, bh5/6, 2-2-2-5
40gb maxtor drive, pata
160gb western digital drive, pata, 8mb cashe
unknown cdrw (was free)
unknown dvd-rom (was free)
edit: so, right now i'm trying to trade the bh5/6 for tccd, but i'd really like to keep it. its nice ram and all, but if i can't use it, theres no point in me having it.
