i'm building a system with an epox 8kha+ and i need ram for it. i want a better latency but im having serious trouble finding pc2100 256mb CAS2 sticks. mushkin offers one (with a heatspreader, woohoo), but it costs $109 and is backordered. i found that corsair has CAS2 ram, but in the pc2400 flavor instead of pc2100. there wouldnt be anything wrong with me getting some corsair pc2400 ram for my pc2100 mobo, right? im pretty sure ive heard of people using this kind of setup as almost commonplace. but i want to get the ok from you guys first, before dropping the $90 bucks or so.

<< You can get teriffic memory here. Just use the pull-down menus to select M-board/manufacturer/model#.

Use the link found in a post at the top of the Hot Deals forum to get it even cheaper.

He said he wants CAS 2 RAM. Crucial is CAS 2.5. They have timings of 2-2-3, while the Corsair he mentioned is 2-2-2.

hey, thanks for the reassurance. i was pretty sure, just wanted to double check. and yeah, i got the whole thing built and it took to the pc2400 ram with no quams. im installing the os right now, so overclocking will come later. i might post results later, too
