Downloaded CPU-Z and ran it a few minutes ago just to see what information it came up with - never used it before. Anyway, Everything was as I expected it to be until I clicked on the SPD tab:

Kingston PC2300

a) I didn't even know there *was* a PC2300 rating

b ) too bad my other stick is rated strictly at PC2100, or I'd try OC'ing a little bit :)

nothing important; I just thought it was interesting.

I think you're seeing the PC2300 rating moreso because of the O/C headroom, not because that rating is actually recognized as a standard. PC2400 = 150Mhz DDR and PC2700=166Mhz, correct?

Divide the PC number by 8 to get the DDR number, and divide that by 2 to get the RAM's bus speed.
