PC2100 overclocking/SIS 735 availability

How high have you been able to overclock your PC2100 DDR SDRAM? What brand?

I'm looking at the Crucial DDR PC2100 ($60/stick). How high does that clock? What about the Corsair PC2100? Nanya (neutronnet's store says this is CAS2)? Samsung?

Also, when can we expect motherboards based on the SIS735 to be available? That is the chipset I'm really excited about actually. 🙂

Thanks guys. =)

It was my understanding that boards have been in production for some time now. Boards were announced based on the chipset a few weeks ago. Hopefully, it should be coming any time soon.

This will probably my next upgrade, so i'm pretty anxious too.

Ok, to his other question.. I only have experience with Crucial's PC2100, not Corsair's 2100 or 2400. I am currently running my system at 150fsb @ CAS2 with 512MB of Crucial PC2100, I am currently using Epox's normal/automatic setting for the memory timings as well. I can't run Sisoft at this moment (encoding a VCD), but I was getting somewhere around 720/850MBs on the memory benchmark.

If you want to spend more than $60 for 256MB of RAM, I would go for Corsair's PC2400. The PC2400 has been hitting 160fsb consistently I've heard, while only about 60% of Crucial's PC2100 can hit that level.

man, I got to see what DDR can do when it's tweaked out! Epox has released newer BIOS files I think, so download em, and tweak the hell out of that RAM! tell us what Sisoft scores you get then!

Soccerman, yes I'm running the latest beta BIOS version (1607) right now. I came across the 1607 version several days ago, the only other new version I've seen floating around would be 1606. As soon as my VCD encoding operation completes (30min), I am going to up the fsb to 150MHz and run Sisoft. I will post my score here in an hour or so.

EDIT- Ok, I ran Sisoft just a second ago. I haven't upped my fsb to 150 yet, it is currently at 145MHz. I also have not tweaked my memory settings, this is what happens at 145fsb with the "Normal" option enabled and with "Auto" memory timings. I will be adjusting my memory timings tomarrow in hope for better scores.
