I've got two sticks of samsung PC2100 cas2.5 ram that I am able to hit PC3200 at 2.5-3-3-6. However, I cannot hit cas 2 at PC2700 speeds. Does that sound right, and would heat spreaders help me oc even more?

Now I played around with it some more and can hit 229 mhz at 3-4-4-9. Haven't tried higher yet. Passes memtest for one pass, haven't had time to go through it more tho. Do you guys think ram sinks or heatspreaders would help? I hope to overclock my cpu and maybe run 1:1. Also, what timings should I aim for? Lower all across the board? I mean is say 2.5-3-3-6 better than 2.5-3-3-9?

frankly, I'm amazed they are able to hit PC3200 at those timings (or at all, based on my experience overclocking Samsung PC2100)

Don't worry about it. 2.5-3-3-6 is an EXCELLENT timing.

When I run sisoft sandra tho, it reports only 46% efficiency? Is that about right for those timings?
