PC2 can access network share but PC3 cannot!?!

I have 3 pc's networked. They all use the same login and password and all of them have certain folders shared; I use simple file sharing. PC2 can see all shared directories of PC1 as well as access them. When browsing through the network neighborhood, PC3 can see PC1 and all its shared directories but cannot access them. Likewise, PC1 can see all directories of PC3 but not access them either. PC2 on the other hand can access shared resources on either one.
In much the saem way, I can use remote desktop on PC3 to control PC2 but not PC1; same when using RD on PC1. Again, PC2 can remote desktop both PC1 and PC3.

Of course, I turned off all firewalls but that's not the problem. Any ideas why this is happening?

Thanks,
tom
