Well it was only a matter of time really before PC150 memory was pushed behind and yielded to PC166 memory. Saw an blurb over on another site about PC186 (Yes PC-1-eight-6) memory. Investigated a little and came up with this which seems fairly conclusive.

The memory is made by Tonicom (parent company in TW). AKA Actram
Here is the Tonicom Products Page.

Here's a site with it for sale: PC166 for sale

Simply stated in this article, it appears that they could have got it up to 186 MHz. Don't know, but reguardless it's a great opportunity for overclockers to go a little higher.

There are several problems though.

1. Finding a board that will really go that high.
2. Running the PCI bus waaaayyyyyy out of spec.
3. Finding a harddrive that can tolerate it.

The KK266 can now go up to 200. I am getting all my parts for a new pc and will most likely get the PC166 memory. Has anyone used Tonicom memory before and how good is it?

My MSI 6321 has FSB up to 200 MHz, BUT then again there are some isses with getting the board to even post above 150 MHz. Boards are out there, biggest problem will be seeing it the other components can take that high of a bus speed even with a good multiplier.
