hey guys, i currently have 384 MB of PC133 sdram. i was wondering, how big of a performance increase will i get from upgrading to 512MB PC2100 DDR?(my mainboard supports both) my system specs are in my signature. some input would be apprecitated thx.

My stress tests with trueSpace 4.3 found that DDR was 0% to 10% faster than PC133, using comparable timings, on a K7S5A with a 1.4GHz Thunderbird. The tests involved radiosity computation, raytraced rendering, point-of-view flybys, and animation of a model.

In most application, the DDR is tht much faster compare to SDR RAM...10%. U might gain a bit more here coz u r switching from 384 to 512MB.

I noticed more than a 10% increase in certain benchmarks when going to DDR... but that's just my system.
the memory at the time must have been a huge bottleneck.

DDR is alot better, I think.
