PC100 in a Pentium II Motherboard

My friend has a Pentium II M/board, I'm not sure if it can run memory at 100mhz, if it can't can 100mhz be put in there and run at 66mhz without any obvious problems?

the board supports up to 450mhz P2 so since it must support 100mhz FSB it may support PC100 memory but I'm not sure and PC66 memory is more scarce and expensive.

Thanks,

Corm

Did I ask this question a couple of weeks back?....can't remember

I've had bad luck especially with the older PII. I had a PII 300 and could not get a piece of Kingston 64 MB PC100 to work. Be careful and perhaps you'll be lucky. I think it should work for sure on a PII 350 because I think they started using a 100MHz bus instead of the 66MHz, but I could be wrong.
