I have a 256mb stick of PC100 CAS2 ram. Will it run at PC133 CAS3? The chip markings are:

NEC Japan
D45128841G5
-A80-9JF
0016P5166

Thanks

never know...run with known stable components so ram is only variable on stability and go for it! i think unstable ram usually manifests itself in strange video errors, and annoying, but not fatal crashes of programs. it is very probable it'll go though...good luck!

I ran a stick of Kingston pc-100 at 133 for almost a year with no problems , I guess it depends on the ram itself

I've had a couple of experiences using NEC RAM, and generally they don't overclock well - at least for me. But like the others said, just test and see ;).
