world is better, they have the top PCs every month which pc mag never does. Plus PC mag is much more biased towards ad dollars according to reviews (as i 've been told from people in the industry). Notice they both have a Dell ad on the back, but at least in pc world a non big name machine will crack the top 2 once ina while, whereas even if dell puts out a fairly pedestrian laptops (i.e. dell inspiron 8000/8100) it still gets a great review for having great tech support or something (which in reality theirs is not that good at all, relative to other companies). not to mention the exact same laptop under another name (all dell inspirons except the 2100 are made by compal) i.e. sceptre or inthe past quantex would not get the same glowing review about their identical yet $400 cheaper laptop.

pcmag is owned by zd, so they a bit more biased than world imo.

i subscribed to world for a year a long ago. then got in on some free 1 year renewal hotdeal from 99/00, somehow my subscription is still going. :) on the label it says it ends in like 2003 or something. hehe. cool with me.
