The computer in question is in my sig. 2 Days ago my computer restarted and wouldnt turn back on which has hapened atleast twice before so I shut it off and let it sit for a couple minutes(it worked the other times). Now it keeps freezing and or restarting at bootscreen, when windows attempts to load, and the one time that I have actually been able to make it to windows.I have been able to get into my bios setup and check the temp up my cpu and its normal .There has also been times when it froze and displayed random boxes of colors.
I have tried each one my ram sticks individualy with no luck. Vacumed out the dust, reseated vid card and cleaned dust on it, and disconected anything that isnt required to boot.

Could you confirm real quick that your heatsink is like in this photo, and also consider removing the heatsink and giving the CPU core a cleaning and new high-quality thermal grease. If there's a shim between the heatsink and CPU, remove it and leave it out.

Any software/driver installed recently?
I also think it could be overheating, mobo temps info may be wrong.
Try a diferent video card and power supply to check if yours are malfunctioning

my first reaction was something video related as well considering the "There has also been times when it froze and displayed random boxes of colors." statement. but heat could also be the issue since that did only happen once, and youve been able to make it to random places since.
