When I turned on my computer yesterday, it went BEEEEP, beep-beep-beep-beep and the PC won't start up. Maybe it's a power supply problem, I don't know. If it is, how easy/difficult is it to change the power supply of a PC? If not, why won't my computer start?

Disconnect all the peripheral you have and just leave only
Motherboard, cpu, ram, video card and power supply.
Try to turn on if still give you beep error code
try reseat you memory and video card if still beeping
try to use another good known memory if still give you beeping
try to use another good knon video card if still give you beeping
try to use another CPU if still give you beeping
try to use another motheboard.
If your computer want to turn on is very rarely the power supply unit problem.

Make sure your CPU and memory are REALLY in their slots all the way. I've put a few CPU's in and not pushed them all the way in on accident, it's easier to do than you might think. You gotta feel that solid -thunk-. If it's a socket chip, then this of course does not apply.

thank you!!!

don't know what it was exactly but, i unplugged all the peripherals, reseated the cpu, plugged all the periperals back in, and VOILA! the computer works fine again ... at least for now!

my only concern now is that in the past 24 hours, i had turned the computer off-on over 100 times. hope that didn't harm my computer too much ...
