pc wont see hard drive

i just setup xp on a new pc with a raptor and a 500gb sata

in the setup it saw both and i installed on the raptor

i bought the 500gb oem and it did not come with a disk...how do i set it up

should i pop the xp disk back in and just format it using that?



also a quick question for you guys with lcd's

right now my screen refresh rate is at 60 hertz....it can go up tyo 75

what should i put it at?
 
1. Right click My Computer, choose Manage, choose Disk Management, initialize+format the new disk.

2. Set it at w/e doesnt bother your eyes, i set mine to as high as it will go.
