PC wont post with new ram, now old ram wont work either

We wanted to throw in 32 gb of ram into my ladies pc because she was running out of ram with 12. Plus we wanted to go quad chan for her 5930 k.

We got the new ram and i popped all of them in there and now the computer turns on, but the monitor doesn't post nor doesn't the keyboard light up. I tried putting in the old ram and it doesn't post either.

Some things i've tried:

cleared cmos
taken battery out
tried putting in old ram

motherboard evga x79 sli
3930 k i7
geforce 1060
Seasonic 750 Watt 80 plus gold.

Did you try the modules / slots one at a time?
Maybe you accidently damaged a slot and that's why it's not working.

edit: damn I think I just necroed the thread, sorry ...
