PC won't bootup after replacing PSU!!!

I just replaced a dead PSU and plugged in my DVD, CD, HDD drives along with the mobo but my system won't start. Nothing shows up on the monitor but the led light on the mobo does come on and the CPU fan spins. Also even though the led on the DVD drive comes on it won't eject. Anyone have any suggestions???

Reseat the RAM, VGA, and power connections (did you forget to plug in VGA power?), unplug anything you don't need to complete POST.

I'm kind of thinking that the power supply took out the mobo with it. Hopefully it didn't take the RAM out with it or anything else. So all I need to post is the RAM and VGA right?

To complete POST: CPU, RAM, VGA, and power(ensure all your required power cables are plugged in and seated properly). Nothing else is required for a good POST. If you receive any beep codes, other than a single beep at the end of POST which means a-ok, record them because they will tell you where the problem resides.

If you cannot complete POST with those parts installed. Pulling a critical device to try and recover the board is a good step. IE, pull all the RAM and see if the mobo returns POST error. If no error at all, try the same with the VGA. If that doesn't return POST errors, try clearing the CMOS and try again.

Post results, also post system specs please!

Just tried to post with just my graphics card, RAM, and CPU and still nothing. The power led and HDD indicator stays lit along with on of my dvd drives. No beeps or anything not even any sounds from my floppy and HDD's. tried it with one stick of RAM in and same thing. BTW I tried clearing the CMOS last night and nothing...

So you are leaving a DVD drive plugged in also? I'm confused, are you trying all this with just CPU/RAM/VGA? or are you leaving devices like hdd, cd/dvd rom, floppy installed? What happens when you pull out the RAM, or hte VGA? any POST errors?

No I'm not leaving the dvd drive plugged in but have tried with it and other peripherals . I tried with just ram/cpu/vga. I got no post errors when I pulled out the ram or graphics card. I remembered the 12V 4 pin power plug for the mobo...

No POST while RAM or VGA is missing indicates an issue with mobo or PSU.
