PC Wont Boot Properly

Once starting up, I see the XP loading screen it finishes. The screen goes black, and the hard drive goes idle forever. I have let it sit there for an hour with no affect, the hard drive was still idle. Lucky for me I disabled system restore a few days ago and deleted the restore files. I tried going into safemode and msconfig and putting everything on the default settings. I tried using chkdsk. Nothing will work. I stuck typing this right now in safe mode (with networking). Help is very appreciated.
 
windows boot problems seem to be all over the front page... I'm having a similar problem, but rather than making another thread, you get a bump 🙂
