I have uninstalled and reinstalled video adapter drivers and chipset drivers.
I have checked for extra monitor drivers, and forced reinstall of those.
This is an older Dell PC with Win XP. Intel 82810 chipset and embedded graphics.
The machine is clean of any malware.
When the machine boots, the color looks good when the desktop first displays on screen, but before everything is finished loading, it reverts back to the low color setting. I can then manually change it, and all is well. At reboot, it starts all over again.
