To start off I have this mobo:
ECS H61H2-I v1.1 LGA 1155 Intel H61 HDMI Mini ITX Intel Motherboard
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813135341
this power supply:
Thermaltake TR2 TR-500 500W ATX12V v2.3 SLI CrossFire Power Supply
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817153165
and this cpu:

I am having trouble just booting up this new media pc build. I mean literally nothing happens when I hit the power button. I am pretty sure I have the power button plugged into the right spot. The power supply is turned on and plugged into the ATX12V spot. So confused... any suggestions? Pics below

Your overall board shot is really blurry. Can you take a better picture, showing the whole motherboard from the top down?

Can't view the pics on the computer I'm using, so I'll take a shot in the dark that you can feel free to ignore.

Have you tried powering it up with the motherboard outside the case? Set the motherboard on the cardboard box it came in and hook up the essentials as normal. If the power button leads won't reach the motherboard that way, turn it on by shorting the PWR pins with a flatblade screwdriver momentarily. (You could actually try the screwdriver trick regardless just to rule out a faulty power button.)

If it works, you've got a problem with the way it's mounted in the case.

I think we got it posted. Thanks for responding mfenn

By "got it posted" do you mean the picture or the computer's power on self test? If it's the picture, I didn't see a link to the new one.

If it's the PC that's now POSTing (i.e. booting), what was the problem?
