I just started having problems, first I got a couple of blue screen error messages when I left my computer on for an extended time.

Part of the message on the blue screen was this:

machine_check_exception

stop: ox0000009c (0x0000004, 0x805461F0) 0xb20000001, 0x00070F0F

beginning dump of physical memory

I was able to shut down and start up after the error message but now when I try and start the computer it starts to boot up, gets to the Windows XP screen likes its trying to start up and then it will reboot and ask me that windows did not start up properly last time and if I want to start in safe mode or regular mode. However whichever mode I choose it just keeps rebooting.

I have an Athlon FX-57, Asus A85NX mobo, 2GB ram, 500W fortron PSU, 8800GTS 320MB video card, seagate 300GB HD. All the fans are working fine and are not louder or noisier than usual. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

Check to see if your RAM is still good. You can also try to analyze the memory dump file on another computer. Otherwise, you might have hardware issue or a software issue that requires a clean re-installation of windows.

Thanks cprince. I finally found out it was the hard drive which I just bought a couple months ago so I had to replace it.
