PC Video cards on a Mac??

I have a GeForce3 in my PC and would like to use it in my G4. Can I just stick it in the AGP slot on the Mac or are Mac video cards special?

Thanks!

Generally, Mac video cards have different BIOSes than PC cards. More importantly, they use different drivers. If you don't have drivers, you don't have anything.

Well from what ive read you cant just stick it into the mac. I have heard success stories with people flashing their PC Radeon 8500le's to mac 8500le's by flashing the pc bios to a mac bios (not all 8500le's will work just some specific ones). However i am not sure about the Geforce 3 series. A good bet is to visit the forums at macnn and especially this thread http://forums.macnn.com/showthread.php?s=62312cd5b15693ea88da95e264215e5f&threadid=52779. It has info on how to flash the 8500le so maybe you can find some info on the geforce 3 flashing stories.

Hope this will help,
