PC Video Card ATI x1900XT freezes while playing games / Firmware update problem help

Hi, I have a x1900xt Ati pci express card. Whenever the card is stressed it freezes the game and a message saying that the vpu is not communicating properly. I really want to play tribes 2 since it is free.

Ive looked for the firmware for x1900xt and I couldn't find any this is for Pc. I think the firmware was updated or changed somehow.

That is an older card and chances are its just going bad. May be time to put some money into a replacment.
