I have built a HTPC and have connected it to my Sony KDL-32W5710 TV using a HDMI lead. Windows 7 detects the TV as 'Sony TV' and the screen resolution on the PC is set to 1920X1080. However when I have booted into Windows everything displays fine but sometimes the picture suddenly goes black (the pc is still on) and I end up having to reset the PC which then allows the TV to display the desktop screen properly without going black. Has anyone else experienced this problem. Any ideas or suggestions would be helpful.
