Like the title says, I really want a new Lian Li PC-V354 case. I also want a Cooler Master Hyper 212 plus. It's cheap and does a dang good job.

The only problem I'm afraid of is clearance. The spec sheet for it says 158.5mm. On newegg, reviews say anywhere from 5-7 inches. The case I want has an external width of 245mm. As a reference, the new A04 case, also by Lian Li, is 188mm wide. Will I be ok with this HSF in my system?

If not, what coolers with a lower profile would suit? I don't want to spend more than I have to. I love the price point of the 212+. I also want something quieter than stock and better performing, for a decent OC. In the end though, if I have to choose, I'd rather compromise on cooling capacity than noise.

For reference, here is a pic of the inside of the case with a Cooler Master TX3 HSF (138mm) installed, next to a standard atx power supply.

Thanks in advance Anandtech. :)

I read this as "PC V354 clearance on HSF" thinking HSF was a website. I was going to go apeshit because I'm either buying the V354 or PC A04.

Jesh, I'm now considering upgrading to this case. What did you find out with regard to the Hyper 212+ fitting?
