British medical journal The Lancet in 2002 reported the case of a man who used a notebook computer on his lap for about an hour -- and developed blisters on his scrotum

Who sits a laptop ON their nutz? I sure as H$LL don't! If he was THAT dumb he deserves it.

You'd think he'd move the laptop when he started getting burned. It's not like he spilled boiling McDonalds Coffee on his lap or anything. It takes quite a while (on the order of minutes) for those laptops to heat up, so you should have plenty of time to remove it from the testicular region.

The blisters were probably caused by something else, and he just blamed it on the laptop.

Oh yeah, let's everyone just have one fan in our computers and only overclock our machines a little bit. None of this voltmodding or pushing machines past our expectations, or maybe just getting huge quiet fans for watercooling. We should all be using mobile processors at 500MHz with half a volt running through them  I'm glad you don't dictate Taiwanese trade or computer hardware in this country :p

this post is pointless....new technologies are developed from "extremes" in the 70's, there was gas crisis, so even though Fuel Injection was already around, money was spent to make it better...much is the same with hybrid cars today....innovations and evolutions in technology, come from the extremes, sure having a boatload of case fans or prommy, or Water may be extreme, but, its working towards becoming more efficient, who knows maybe with devlopments from these "uneccesary" cooling ventures will help us find life on another planet(ok extreme but im in a rush to head out the door)

the fact of the matter is the companies spending money on cooling makes it better in the end, we dont need computers contributing to global warming too!! LOL
