PC used as TV

I purchased a 22 LCD Wide Screen monitor, and a Advantek Video Capture Card, now I can watch TV from my PC, but its image quality is inferior than my standard 21 CRT TV set, it looks less sharper.-
Is it normal ?
I am very dissapointed, as I thought that such a monitor should give a high quality TV image.-
My video card is a GForce 6600 GT.-
