PC Upgrade ?

Hey, im currently looking forward to Upgrade my PC
Current Setup:
i5 2320
GTX 770
MSI Z77A G43
beQuiet S7 450w

The most ppl say i should upgrade my GPU to a R9 390 Sapphire Nitro.

But im not sure if my PSU is good enough.

I even OC'ed my CPU to 3,6GHz... on the other Forum they say the PSU is even good enough for the R9 390.

Overlocking would be good.

For your purposes, I'd just upgrade the CPU, maybe GPU also.. You didn't say how much ram, but I'm assuming 8Gb..

If you get a 390, then that PSU will choke out guaranteed.

those 1155's are expensive af in GER.
They all go for only 300+

I don't see a listing of which rail power which set of plugs, but if it follows the standard and the PCIe plugs are 12V2, you're going to be pushing it with only 20A to a 390.
Really though, given your budget you might as well replace the supply. For well under 100 euro you should be able to pick up a single rail gold rated PSU in the 550-650W range which would serve you well for any single GPU system.

It's a good PSU, for sure. But 230 W + 95W + OC + whatever other hardware you have > 325W. That PSU's max. 12V power when new is 432W, and that degrades over time. It's just too close for comfort, IMHO.

So, you mean €650? Or ~€500? Probably doesn't matter.

1080P doesn't really benefit from a 390 over a nice, overclocked 970. I wouldn't worry about using that card with your PSU either.

Then you should probably go search Ebay for 3770 or 3770K's. (Don't get a "3770s".)

Maybe sounds kinda dumb to ask, but are those 3.5GB/4GB VRAM enough to run the latest // Upcoming games ? i guess if i buy the 3770k i can get away with not Upgrading it for a couple of years, but whats with the 970?

2. Hows the Performance difference between a 4790k and a 3770k ? Just asking.

And the eBay offers most of them are to Bid, so they change up pretty fast.
And i dont really like to buy used things, especially when it has to do with my PC.

It doesn't have to be the K model. You won't bottleneck an i7 3770 even if not overclocked. A GTX 970 & CPU upgrade will do you for awhile yet.. Add more ram if you want it faster..

Do you think the extra 400Mhz and hyperthreading moving to the 3770 are worth the US$150+ he'd probably need to pay to pick one up in Germany? No doubt in certain games it might help a little, but I wonder if that money might be better spent just moving to Skylake or Kabylake in the future.

4xxx series won't work on the same motherboards as the 3xxx and 2xxx. So that adds to the cost.

Well... depends on the workload. The 4xxx series is a little faster per-core, but the 3770k is a 4C/8T vs. the 4690K's 4C/4T, which means it may be faster in some applications (assuming they both overclock to about the same number of GHz.)

For the vast majority of time, yes. In a few situations you can exceed 3.5GB but that can be fixed by tuning graphics settings. GTA V at max settings is one such game.

EVGA ACX 2.0, MSI Gaming and Asus Strix are all very good. Other brands are also worth considering at the right price.

Mindfactory.de has MSI Gaming for 325€ inkl. Tomb Raider, I would go with that one.

Also, if you are gaming and streaming the hyperthreading of the 3770 should help.

A sandy quad at 3.6 should still be a pretty decent gaming processor though, although streaming may take a toll on its performance.

Could try streaming with GTX 970's ShadowPlay.
