My system: MB ASV333, Proc AMD 2100+, 1GB Ram, ATI 9600pro, WinXP SP2,

My computer has been randomly turing off. It doesnt say anything on the computer everyting just turns off without any warning. The strange thing is that the power light stays on. In order to reboot i have to hold down the power button for 5 sec utill it really turns off and then turn it back on. I thought it might be the motherboard shuting down because the cpu is too hot????. So i reaplyed some heat sync compound to see if that would help but it didnt. Im using the retail heatsync/fan that came with the reatil amd cpu. Any ideas. Is there a way to have the MB log what its doing?

Also another thing not really realated, but something that has been bothering me. My computer wont power up unless my monitor is off or not pluged into the dvi port. I push the power button and nothing happens. Only when i turn the monitor off can i power up the box. then as soon as power is on i can turn on the monitor and all is well?? any one heard of this? Im using a DELL 2001fp LCD.

    Thanks

I just noticed that my 3.3 Voltage rail is running high. between 3.6 and 3.7 V. But i dont see anywhere in the bios that lets me specify whether or not to have the computer shut down if it detects this voltage is too high. Maybe i have a bad PS???
