I've used this program for years to keep my machine running clean and smooth. The program allows you to undo any changes it makes, but I've never had to use that part of it. Highly recommended.

I would advise against using this software. In my experience it corrupted my OS two different times. Not long after running program I started getting error messages. Use at your own risk. If your looking for a registry cleaner go with ccleaner. It is a tool that cleans up all the junk files, cookies etc. and also has a registry cleaner tool too. Best of all its free. I used the registry cleaner with it and had no problems.

Sorry you had a bad experience with it. I run Registry Mechanic regularly, and I've advised many friends to use it on both XP and Vista. All of them report no problems and lots of help.

You may want to contact their tech support. They have real human beings at a toll free number, and they've always been courteous and helpful.

I have been using this program for years on Win2000 and WinXP machines without a hitch. It works as advertised.
